The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of AWS & Azure cloud environments. They will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to craft and implement secure cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions
- Implement cloud data protection measures
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments on cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain security policies and standards for cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that security is coordinated into the software development lifecycle.
- Supervise cloud environments for security incidents and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
- Supervise and analyse security logs and alerts to identify security issues and develop and implement remediation plans
- Document & report on AWS infrastructure security posture, providing partners with insights & recommendations
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Work with security teams and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Provide mentorship and support to other teams on security standard processes and procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies in cloud environments.
- Perform security review of tools and services around infrastructure and provide guidelines.
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, specifically in AWS & Azure
- Familiarity of regulatory standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Good understanding of programming languages like python, shell etc.
- Having good knowledge around various clouds like AWS & Azure security services and features, as well as a grasp of security operations and threats
- Good grasp over security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Experience with security policy development and implementation.
- Solid grasp of networking and network security principles.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
