Cloud R&D SW Manager
Your role:
Manages different functional/competency teams, units and respective budgets within R&D software development focused on shaping and delivering new or upgrading existing software. Selects talent, supervises, coaches and evaluates performance of software development personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the software development function. Acts as the enabler for the teams, has the responsibility for adoption, success and ongoing improvement of agile development and software development practices. Acts as key liaison with other functions and organizations outside R&D to drive business results.
Delivering on the team objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the team can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place.
Managing the capabilities of the team; to develop and maintain a long-term view on the required competences and knowledge to introduce new technology.
Attracting, retaining, and developing team members to ensure the best talent is on the team. Effectively executes performance management to continually improve the talent base.
Creating and maintaining a positive and engaging culture within the R&D function, and ensuring strong cross-functional collaborating with other functions
Delivering new products to the market on time, cost, and quality. Achieving operational plans and ensuring the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management.
Defines policy with respect to teams' tools and development environment.
Ensuring all employees adhere to all applicable procedures.
You're the right fit if:
BE or equivalent degree with 10-12 years of experience in engineering leadership roles in a highly regulated industry - healthcare preferred
A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and leading a team
Strong technical background preferably in delivering AWS cloud solutions or in the Healthcare Informatics space
Successful record of accomplishment leading people, executing complex new product development projects / programs / improvement opportunities (timelines, quality, capacity, capability, cost, productivity, etc.).
Strong leadership skills (change management, communications, building rapport and executing within a complex organization)
Effectively communicates to numerous stakeholders including senior management, other Business Groups, internal and/or external customers and staff.
Familiarity with Medical Development regulations
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
