Cloud Engineer I

Key Responsibilities:

              1.          Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure across public cloud environments (Especially Azure. GCP is nice to have).
• Provision and configure cloud resources such as compute, storage, and networking components.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure and services.

              2.          Support and Troubleshooting:

• Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis for service disruptions and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support for customers and internal teams.

              3.          Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Python, and Ansible to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Automate routine tasks such as monitoring, alerting, backups, and patching.

              4.          Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor cloud infrastructure using tools like New Relic,Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Analyze system performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.

              5.          Security and Compliance:

• Ensure that cloud infrastructure adheres to industry standards and security best practices.
• Manage access controls, security groups, and firewall configurations.
• Assist in the implementation of compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.).

              6.          Collaboration and Documentation:

              •               Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, developers, and security engineers to support cloud projects.

                  •                Document configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.

              7.          Continuous Improvement:

              •            Stay updated with new cloud technologies and trends.

                  •                Identify opportunities to improve cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

              •            Educational Background:

              •            Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

              •            Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, K8).

              •            Technical Skills:

              •            Hands-on experience with Azure as public cloud, observability tools (New Relic, Data Dog etc), Kubernetes Administration

              •            Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux/Unix, Windows operating systems.

              •            Proficiency in cloud automation tools like Terraform, Python etc.

              •            Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.

              •            Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience:

              •            4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or technical support roles.

              •            Prior experience in managing and supporting mission-critical cloud environments.

              •            Experience with database services (e.g., RDS, NoSQL solutions) in cloud environments.
