OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Alstom are now looking for the Cloud DevOps Engineer, to join our engineering team  and be responsible for implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS)  and Azure cloud services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.

  
  

• Deploy and manage web applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.

  
  

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of AKS Kubernetes clusters.

  
  

• Implement best practices for Kubernetes resource management.

  
  

• Implement KEDA practices for Azure Kubernetes Web Apps Deployment.

  
  

• Integrate and manage Azure AI services such as OpenAI, Azure Search, and Translator into our application architecture.

  
  

• Ensure the AI services are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.

  
  

• Implement, and manage messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus.

  
  

• Utilize Sprint Kanban dashboards for efficient project and task management.

  
  

• Collaborate with development, Testing teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.

  
  

• Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Dynatrace and others tools like EFK , Prometheus and Grafana.

  
  

• Document processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing.

  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

• University background: Bachelors/Master’s degree in computer science & information systems or related engineering.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• Outstanding Technical leader with proven hands on in configuration and deployment of DevOps towards successful delivery.
• Capability to guide and support other devops engineers.
• Be Innovative and be aligned to new product development technologies and methods.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
• Proven capabilities with worldwide teams
• Team Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

• 7+ years in IT and/or digital companies.
• Mandatory experience of developing helm charts and Kubernetes operators.
• Good understanding of Ansible, Terraform, Python
• Experience in Scripting (PowerShell/ Python/ Bash) to create reusable components
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, and analytical skills to define architecture and approach for DevOps
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Mandatory knowledge on Kubernetes. Knowledge inrancheris a plus.
• Experience with Azure cloud-based provisioning, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and related automation technologies
• Understanding of platform security best practices and how to implement & monitor
• Experience in cloud technologies & tools, Service Models, and Deployment Models 
• Experience in security protocols, digital certificates, SSL/TLS, Key and secrets management
• Experience digging through logs and metrics to triage and fix incidents - systematic problem-solving approach with a sense of ownership
• Good understanding of concepts including Networking, Routing, Load Balancing, Redundancy, Disaster Recovery, VPN, Firewalls, etc.
• Strong in source control/configuration management including Git, and GitLab; familiarity with  Visual Studio Code a plus
• Experience working with data engineering and data science teams and data platforms is a plus.
• Experience on AKS is mandatory
