We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Administrator to join our Strategic Alliances & Interface Solutions team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Azure, VMWare, along with experience in networking and cybersecurity protocols.  This role will focus on maintaining, enhancing, and preparing our current platform for significant growth over the next few years.   Strong communication skills, along with education and documentation skills are required.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and grow all aspects of Interface Solutions current cloud environments (Copper Tier), including fundamental maintenance and setup tasks.

• Onboard new 3rd Party alliances onto the Cloud environment, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to handle various interactions and training sessions.

• Resolve technical issues directly or through interaction with other Varian Architects, Engineers, and Product Managers

• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes.

• Monitor system performance, update software and security patches, perform backups, and manage user permissions.

• Implement and maintain modern cybersecurity services and controls in a cloud environment.

• Communicate ideas for improvement and tailor existing structures for maximum utilization.

• Understand cloud providers' pricing models and implement right-sized configurations to reduce costs.

Experience:

• At least 5-8 years of cloud administrator experience and/or comparable software development of cloud based solutions. 
• Experience working with a geographically distributed team.

Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
