As a Client Tax Analyst in the Tax Cost team, you will be responsible for 1099 and 1042s updates related to position / lot level acquisition cost, acquisition date and tax code for securities held in client accounts. You will support specific lot allocation to transfers and trades and ensure accurate gain/loss reporting in the 1099s. You will also maintain tax data integrity for all Private Bank clients related to W8 / W9 inputs / updates. This role provides an opportunity to apply your strong knowledge on US Tax and Financial securities, and to contribute to process improvement initiatives. You will also have the chance to demonstrate your leadership skills and build effective business relationships with cross functional/geographical teams. 


Job responsibilities:


  • Possess strong knowledge on US Tax and Financial securities (1099 / W8, W9 / 1042S)
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of operational procedures.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all Risk and Control regulations.
  • Identify, evaluate and deliver process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that documentation is maintained up to date.
  • Monitoring and chasing queries to ensure timely completion based on deadlines/urgency/escalations.
  • Taking process trainings for new joiners.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Knowledge of financial instruments, corporate actions/trade life cycle, security transfers
  • Manage operations with minimal or no supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong Client Focus: adhering to response time to client and maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills: collaborate with and lead others by influence, to achieve objectives, with an aptitude for decision making and problem solving.
  • Assertiveness: willingness and ability to challenge the status quo and express opinions,

  • Strong interpersonal skills: can build effective business relationships with cross functional/geographical teams and coordinate with teams to action items.
  • Adaptability: effectively organize and prioritize work to meet stringent deadlines.
