Circularity Specialist, Sustainability

The Circularity Specialist will be an important member the LS&Co. Global Sustainability team, reporting to the Senior Sustainability Sourcing Lead which reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer. Our company’s goal is to be circular ready by 2030. In this position, you play a pivotal role in advancing key workstreams on circularity within the business, along with developing processes to verify and capture progress. You will also have responsibility for staying abreast of pending legislations and relevant standards, as well as actively engaging with external industry stakeholders, and 3rd party organization and service providers.  This role will be accountable for developing an optimized system to ensure LS&Co. compliance for all in-scope extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes for packaging and textiles. To be successful in this role, you will need to work collaboratively across the business to drive and embed circularity, processes and track progress. This role is based in Bangalore, India.

About the Job

• Lead the development process of key circularity workstreams
• Develop verification routines and processes to report progress
• Develop optimized processes to track and ensure compliance with all in scope packaging and textile extended producer responsibility schemes.
• Capture relevant packaging and waste metrics from manufacturing, distribution, ecommerce and retail for internal and external reporting.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders for training, guidance and implementation of the circularity guidelines and EPR regulations and eco-modulation opportunities.    
• Maintain relationships with standards and industry stakeholder groups and 3rd party service providers.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Sustainable Business or similar.
• 5-6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Thorough knowledge on circularity principles, extended producer responsibility and industry initiatives.
• Basic understanding of the upcoming legislations.
• Experience in developing verification guidelines and process documents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally, focus priorities and keep things simple.
• Solution oriented with track record of proactive problem solving.
• Effective Project management and strong attention to detail.
