Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CI/CD DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS and extensive knowledge of automation tools. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, with proficiency in Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform, and Python scripting. This role is instrumental in optimizing and automating our development and deployment workflows.
Software Requirements:
- Strong foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, primarily Python.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance automation and improve deployment processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD processes to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage AWS resources and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Conduct regular assessments and optimizations of existing CI/CD processes.
- Provide support and training to development teams on CI/CD best practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance of the CI/CD environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD processes and configurations.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform & Docker/Kubernetes (optional)
Cloud Technologies: AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
Programming/Scripting: Python (for automation scripts) & Shell Scripting (Bash)
Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is advantageous.
Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role focused on CI/CD processes in large-scale environments.
- Proven track record in deploying applications in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Daily monitoring of CI/CD pipelines and application performance.
- Collaborate with development teams in daily stand-up meetings to address any integration or deployment issues.
- Implement new features or tools to enhance the CI/CD pipeline.
- Review and evaluate code changes and provide feedback accordingly.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of deployment failures.
- Maintain and update documentation related to CI/CD processes and standards.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) or DevOps methodologies are preferred.
