Chief Technology Officer (Jewellery Company)

We are a 3000 crore INR luxury jewelry retail company with a rich legacy of craftsmanship. As we gear up to modernize our operations and expand into the e-commerce space, we are seeking an experienced CTO to lead our technology transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial technology and a proven ability to develop scalable tech solutions, with an emphasis on digital growth and manufacturing efficiency.

The CTO will be responsible for establishing and leading the company’s technology strategy, with a focus on streamlining organizational processes and laying the groundwork for our e-commerce expansion. The role requires expertise in implementing industrial technologies and building a robust, secure IT infrastructure to support both manufacturing and digital commerce.

1. Technology Strategy and Execution:
   

   
   
   • Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligned with business goals, with a dual focus on industrial operations and e-commerce.
     
   • Oversee the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as automation, IoT, and data-driven inventory management.
     
   • Drive the adoption of ERP systems tailored to the needs of a manufacturing setup.
     

2. E-commerce Development:
   

   
   
   • Collaborate with the leadership team to design and implement the technology framework for our upcoming e-commerce platform.
     
   • Integrate digital tools for inventory tracking, order management, and customer analytics to create a seamless online customer experience.
     

3. System Integration and Optimization:
   

   
   
   • Integrate technology solutions into existing operations to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
     
   • Ensure interoperability of manufacturing systems and e-commerce platforms.
     

4. Team Leadership:
   

   
   
   • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing in-house IT and technology team.
     
   • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
     

5. Cybersecurity and Compliance:
   

   
   
   • Establish robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard both manufacturing and e-commerce systems.
     
   • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and data protection standards.
     

6. Vendor and Partner Management:
   

   
   
   • Collaborate with external technology partners, software vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of projects.
     
   • Evaluate and select technology solutions that best fit the company’s needs.
     

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, specifically in manufacturing or industrial sectors (candidates with IT service backgrounds will not be considered).
  
• Proven track record of implementing ERP systems, automation, and IoT technologies in industrial settings.
  
• Experience in setting up and scaling e-commerce platforms is a strong advantage.
  
• Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, process optimization, and supply chain technologies.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
