Job Purpose/Summary
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead the company’s business operations and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market expansion while fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a robust business strategy to enhance market presence, revenue, and profitability.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities both domestically and internationally.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization’s operational and marketing teams.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Formulate and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning.
- Lead global market penetration initiatives, ensuring optimal balance between domestic and international business segments.
- Utilize market intelligence to proactively adapt strategies based on trends and competitor analysis.
- Cultivate and manage key client relationships to foster long-term partnerships and business expansion.
Operational & Financial Excellence:
- Direct production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Develop and oversee financial strategies in collaboration with the CFO to ensure robust cash flow and strategic investments.
- Negotiate major contracts and business deals to secure favorable terms and sustainable growth.
People & Performance Management:
- Drive a high-performance culture by recruiting, mentoring, and developing top talent.
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all business units.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and certifications to maintain organizational credibility.
- Establish key performance metrics to ensure accountability and sustained growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 20 to 25 years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Marketing Head / Profit Centre Head / COO role.
Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech from a premier institute.
- MBA in Marketing (desirable but not essential).
- Strong business acumen with exceptional leadership and people management skills.
