The Business FIN
Controller for Engineering is responsible for managing and overseeing the
financial operations of the engineering business line in GBS IN. This role
involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance with
financial regulations. The controller will work closely with engineering
management to provide strategic financial guidance and support decision-making
processes.
You’ll make a difference
by:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts for the Engineering Business Line / Service Lines
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures and provide insights.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Controlling:
- Commercial support to the Management of Business Lines, Service lines and Headquarters about general controlling activities
- Project Controlling support during Project phases (Acquisition, Contract Management, Project Execution, Inventory Management)
- Regular review of relevant financial key performance indicators and provide deviation alerts to the organization and together with respective management you drive root cause analysis on deviations and prepare remediation plans, monitor their implementation, and evaluate results.
- Driving and monitoring Billing, Productivity, UOV, available hours, closing old sales orders
- Monthly reporting to HQ on KPI Deviations.
Cost Management:
- Monitor and control engineering project costs to ensure they are within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures.
- Analyze cost structures and recommend improvements.
Financial Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Free Cash Flow)
- Monthly Finance review with HQ and BL head.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
Strategic Financial Guidance:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineering management to develop business cases for new projects and investments.
- Evaluate the financial impact of engineering initiatives and projects.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with engineering projects.
- Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives.
Your success is grounded

- You convince with high analytical competence, a high

- You solve problems proactively and are used to presenting
problems with a solution. Ideally, you have demonstrated this as member in
project groups.
- Excellent language skills (written and spoken) in English
