Category Application Engineer

Job Summary:

A Category Application Engineer shall analyze RFPs to understand client requirements and assess product fit. Gather input from various teams for accurate product selection and lead application engineering for specific product categories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and develop technical solutions. Maintain technical documentation, identify risks, and adapt to new technologies..

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Collaborate with project proposal Engineer/lead engineers to understand the specific requirements of each project.
• Analyze project needs and select appropriate instrument/ equipment models and associated equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Facilitate clear communication to resolve technical queries and ensure timely execution of equipment specifications.
• Address and resolve technical queries related to equipment specifications, and applications.
• Evaluate past purchases and application cases to leverage historical knowledge in current projects.
• Continuously seek ways to improve application processes and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment specifications, selection criteria, and project outcomes.
• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal guidelines and processes
• Experience in monitoring and managing inventory levels.
• Coordination with supply chain teams for optimal stock availability.

Maintains frequent interactions with a broad stakeholder network. Analyzes multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. Actively seeks input from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, AutoCAD, CAE software. 
• Strong analytical skills, 
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• Problem solving & Analytical skills
• Communication & Presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Engineering Graduate in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience preferably in instrumentation engineering.
• Industry specific certification will be added advantage.
