OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE


  • Develop and execute the platform strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives



  • Manage assigned resources responsible for effectively maintaining, enhancing, configuring, implementing and testing platform and system functionality triggered by projects, change requests and future needs



  • Develop, configure and manage Finance platforms, solutions, applications, processes and systems within scope according to business requirements and increases the value of the application to the finance business community



  • Leading international project teams of experienced internal and external specialists or support projects as project team member










Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize platform features and enhancements



  • Manage application and platform development process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment



  • Identifies and investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the implementation of improvements within area of responsibility. Advises stakeholders on improvements that increase value of applications.



  • Maintain a high level of up-to-date expertisein the area of Finance platforms and systems, including state-of-art approaches, methodologies and emerging technologies. 



  • Ensure that application/platform meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders, and that it is scalable, reliable, and secure



  • Monitor application/platform performance and identify opportunities for improvement



  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in platform development and management



  • Provide support to ensurealloperational and project based commitments are delivered



  • Provide support to ensurethat the Finance systems are fullyavailable to support Reporting, Planning and Analysis requirements



  • Provide support to ensureadequate IT support isavailableduringFinance Business Processes (month, quarterly, yearend close, MYC, MRP) and IT issues are resolvedin atimelymanner



  • Collaborate and partner with various stakeholders (External service provider, DD&T, Business and other 3rd parties) to implement and deliver system improvements and opportunities



  • Provide hand-on solutions and advise to support the business needs



  • Ensure compliance with Takeda DD&T frameworks, policies and standards (like Project Governance, Architecture, QA, security, SDLC, SOX and service transition)



  • Maintain current knowledge and related tools



  • Acts as Technical expert on all assigned projects and systems.



  • Designs/builds/deployscomplex data models.



  • Ensuresexecution and documentation to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), suggestadjustments to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and other standards, policies and procedures.



  • Work independently on toughproblems with other team members and independently solve, with some guidance, verydifficulttechnologyproblems.



  • Represent the team while working on project across BU and BNDC teams. Isinternal and externalexpert to-go-to in how to drive advanced Computer Science and Engineering skills and techniques.



  • Influences and maintainsrelationships with partner organizations in support of data analysis, modelling and deployment






Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise


  • In depth knowledge and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), IBM Cognos Analytics and related supportive tools(Docker, Qubedocs, motioCI)


  • Strong knowledge and understanding of technologyincluding AWS Cloud, Windows, Linux, network, security and allotherinfrastructuralrequirements




Leadership



  • Ability to form strong working relationshipsacross a matrixenvironment



  • Excellentcommunication, listening and influencing skills; ability to listen, anticipate needs and influence solutions



  • inspires and enables people to move the organizationforward



  • Demonstratesstrategicenterprise thinking in regards ofimproveprocesses, savecosts and focus on priorities




Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent



  • Deep insight in existing systems, technology and concepts in the area of Finance Systems Solutions(Minimum 5+ years of technical and administration experience)



  • Knowledge in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Cognos Analytics software, application hosting and development



  • Experience in Tidal, Python, Planning Analytics Workspace



  • Experience in Cloud environments, especially AWS (S3, EC2, RDS)



  • Ability to write and speak in the English languages 



  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with analytical and problem solving skills



  • Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.



  • Understanding of how IT efforts are tied to achievement of business goals.



  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization



  • Experience in Agile development methodologies



  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and partners



  • Experience in leading/working with multiple cross cultural and international teams across a matrixed organization to implement solutions.



  • Experience in state of the art procedures, tools and methods to realize IS/IT solutions 



  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing IS/IT solutions 



  • Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, their maturity and potential benefits for the organization 



  • Experience in development of communication and presentation material to senior management 



  • Experience in a pharmaceutical/life sciences environment
