Responsibilities


Operations Management:


  • Oversee all aspects of café operations, including inventory management, ordering, and procurement of supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards for food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, health codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development:


  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to café staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Recruit, hire, and train café employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate staff training and development opportunities.
  • Foster teamwork, effective communication, and a strong customer service mindset within the café team.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:


  • Ensure a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere, focusing on creating meaningful experiences for café visitors.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Identify and implement improvements based on customer feedback and industry best practices.

Financial Performance and Sales Growth:


  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, expenses, and profitability targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, including promotional campaigns and upselling techniques.
  • Manage cash handling, cash register operations, and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking of café revenue and expenses.

Menu Development and Product Offerings:


  • Work with the culinary team to develop and update café menus based on customer preferences and market trends.
  • Source and evaluate new products and suppliers to ensure high-quality offerings at competitive prices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of food, beverages, and other supplies.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock management.

Health and Safety Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain proper documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks within the café environment.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in café or restaurant management, including team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of café operations, including food and beverage preparation, customer service, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, analyze sales data, and drive profitability.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop and implement innovative menu offerings.
  • Proficiency in using café management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • High standards for customer service excellence and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
