Job Description


Who We’re Looking For 


The successful applicant will join the State Street Corporate Functions, Markets & Finance (CFMF) team. This team will be responsible for supporting CFMF in the oversight/governance of outsourced services by internal provider organizations and will be based in Bangalore, India covering the EMEA time zone.


What you will be responsible for


As Business Risk India - Outsourcing Program Advisory and Support Manager, Officer (400) your responsibilities will include :


  • Supports development and implementation of internal global governance framework in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Internal framework should integrate best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sources.
  • Develops, maintains, and improves tools/processes for documenting and managing global inventory of relationships through inception / due diligence process to termination.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements (e.g. Internal Engagements Risk Assessment , Outsourcing Risk Assessment Documentation)
  • Supports change management projects that impact providers. May include facilitating meetings, communicating change requests, working with stakeholders to remove / overcome obstacles, and ensuring change is completed within target timeline.
  • Facilitates provider compliance with internal policies. Coordinate SLA reviews and updating SLAs on as-needed basis.
  • Collaborates with internal governance teams such as India transition team, Business Risk Managers, and Business Solutions teams as needed.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal clients and partner organizations to create alignment between the organizations.
  • Evaluate any contractual breaches and non-compliance to the global outsourcing policy and ensure timely escalation to legal entity boards and relevant governance committees
  • Lead a monthly governance forum to share ideas, leverage best practices, and discuss issues and challenges
  • Enhance the outsourcing controls framework and testing methodology to identify control gaps and risk for governance of the outsourcing activities for all CFMF business lines

Education & Preferred Qualifications


Skills/qualifications:


  • Knowledge of financial services legal and regulatory environment and its applicability to outsourcing
  • knowledge of Financial markets/Global Markets, and  a desire to develop functional expertise of Corporate Functions, Markets & Finance (CFMF) products, systems and processes
  • Ability to assess an event or new engagement with a service provider from a CFMF perspective by understanding relative priorities and cross-unit dependencies
  • Well-rounded understanding of relationship management and risk management processes
  • Strong project management / documentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage many relationships at different levels
  • Management skills necessary to lead a team of non-direct reports / outsourcing engagement managers

  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team, to tight deadlines and under multiple pressures
  • Very strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
