Location: Mumbai, India.

  • There are Infrastructure teams (CFO, CRO, TDI, GCOO, Chairman, Procurement, HR) dedicated to each of the Bank’s core banking divisions. Together, we oversee all financial details of Deutsche Bank, globally.
  • COO provide accurate and timely business management, cost management & people management services to the Infrastructure functions. We also provide high-quality advice and analysis to our businesses and infrastructure functions, measuring and analyzing performance, cost, workforce management, business management and identifying areas to drive innovative change. This is a strategic group, where we look to control costs, limit risk, and strengthen our decision-making process.

Your key responsibilities


Strategic Execution:


  • Implement the strategy for the infrastructure function regionally/globally.
  • A main voice in communicating the department’s strategy to the rest of the bank regionally.
  • Closely working with the regional Infrastructure leads & global COO in the implementation of the strategy.

Workforce & occupancy planning:


  • Drives and coordinates all workforce related processes including hiring, recruiting, compensation and restructuring.
  • Supports talent management in the function including talent acquisition, retention, training, performance management processes and diversity.
  • Designs and implements the function's location and future of work strategy and target operating model.

Divisional financial planning and forecasting:


  • Working with the regional leads to provide accurate monthly cost and workforce forecasts.
  • Responsible for allocating cost and headcount plans across the various areas of the finance function and driving the department towards its cost and workforce targets.
  • Where necessary, develop and execute actions to correct any divergence to plan.

Driver-Based Cost Management (DBCM):


  • Support and manage DBCM allocation keys and key interface to explain the allocation of finance charges.
  • Ensure timely billing and over / under recovery of revenues.
  • Ensuring required agreements are in place that justify the billing of services rendered.

People management & Communications:


  • A key spokesperson for the function in managing and communicating with our staff.
  • Working with our HR partners to drive the overall people agenda for the overall department.
  • Responsible for recruiting and managing our annual graduate recruitment, mentoring and intern classes.
  • Works with the regional leads and the respective leadership team members in their communication needs.

Controls:


  • Defines, implements and oversees policies and key operating procedures for the function.
  • Ensures the function adheres to the bank wide policies, T&E processing, dB Buyer approvals, Information Barrier Group oversight, MTA, compliance mandatory training and the red flag process.

Your skills and experience


The candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter with the following attributes:


  • Strong Business Management Skills & Experience.
  • Good Leader & with having experience of managing large teams.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking - an ability to take a long-term view on shaping the departments strategic vision in a way that is consistent with the function and the Banks broader strategic agenda.
  • Proven ability to execute - a capable of ensuring projects and tasks are completed in-line with the strategic agenda.
  • Exemplary stakeholder management skills - a track record of influencing and managing senior stakeholders both within and outside the finance department.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to build collaborative partnerships with peers and key stakeholders, able to provide sound advice but also demonstrate the ability to challenge when required.
  • Independent in judgement, strongly self-motivated and have the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism.
  • Gravitas and presentation skills - as one of the senior faces of the Finance organization, the successful candidate must be able to present in a highly polished manner.
  • Multi-tasker under pressure - an ability to work on multiple, high profile important topics concurrently without losing sight of the bigger strategic objectives.
  • Financially literate - an ability to understand, interpret and act on financial data and translate this information into easy-to-understand messages.
  • An excellent team worker with exceptional leadership capabilities who is people focused and supports Diversity.
  • Additionally, it would be preferable if the candidate had: Familiarity with the finance operating model.
