Job Description:
A results-oriented Business Intelligence Specialist with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization. Proven track record of transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop tailored reporting solutions and enhance data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
Dashboard Development: Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models using SQL, Google Big Query that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various business units.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions that meet specific needs.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and provide insights for improvement.
Data Governance: Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices, maintaining data quality and security protocols.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting processes, fostering a culture of data literacy within the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in business intelligence, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to enhance BI capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.
Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and experience with SQL and Google Big Query for data querying and manipulation.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to diverse audiences.
