Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer in Amazon's Cross-Border Team, you'll be responsible for:
1. Develop and maintain small to mid-size BI solutions that drive data-informed decisions in our international e-commerce operations.
2. Create and optimize data sets, queries, reports, and dashboards to answer critical business questions.
3. Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
4. Utilize SQL and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight) to deliver actionable insights.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective BI solutions.
6. Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with Amazon's policies.
7. Produce comprehensive documentation for all BI solutions to ensure ease of use and maintainability.
8. Participate in code reviews and conduct thorough testing to maintain high-quality standards.
9. Identify and automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency.
10. Contribute to team discussions on project design, scoping, and prioritization.
11. Build a deep understanding of the business context and technologies underlying our data infrastructure.

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Bachelor's degree

- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
