The Sabre LGS (Lodging, Ground & Sea) team drives innovation in lodging, ground transportation, and sea travel within Sabre's global distribution business. Focused on creating a seamless end-to-end travel marketplace, the team enables travel providers to manage and distribute content efficiently, helping them connect with quality travelers and meet evolving market demands. By leveraging Sabre’s advanced technology solutions, the LGS team empowers agencies and suppliers to optimize their strategies, enhance traveler experiences, and drive growth across the travel ecosystem.
What you’ll be doing?
Sabre LGS is looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on expanding Sabre’s presence in lodging, ground transportation, and rail in South Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The primary objective is to drive adoption and demand for Sabre’s LGS products among travel agencies, TMCs, and online booking partners. This role involves creating targeted strategies, engaging with senior-level stakeholders, and establishing Sabre as a trusted partner in the travel distribution space.
With a focus on meeting revenue and booking targets, the role will work closely with Sabre’s commercial teams, align solutions with customer needs, and leverage data insights to refine growth plans. Additionally, this role will act as an advocate for clients, influencing product roadmaps and helping to build Sabre’s position as a leading B2B platform for LGS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Sabre’s agency partners and commercial teams to develop and execute demand-generation strategies that meet or exceed sales targets across the LGS portfolio, including hotels, car rentals, ground transportation, and rail segments.
- Act as the voice of the customer within Sabre, gathering insights from customer interactions to inform product enhancements and strategic direction. Collaborate closely with the product, onboarding, and delivery teams to ensure that customer needs are met, and new product features are effectively adopted.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with travel agencies, TMCs, OTAs, and other key partners. Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients align their business goals with Sabre’s LGS solutions and fostering long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth.
- Stay informed on market trends, emerging business models, and competitive dynamics in travel distribution to identify growth opportunities for Sabre. Use these insights to develop strategies that enhance Sabre’s market position and expand the adoption of LGS products.
- Work with partners and Sabre’s commercial teams in a consultative role, identifying industry trends and challenges, and presenting Sabre’s solutions to meet these needs. This includes delivering presentations, conducting workshops, and positioning Sabre as a leader in LGS solutions.
- Collaborate with sales enablement, marketing, and product strategy teams to develop go-to-market plans for new products and solutions. This includes creating compelling value propositions, establishing sales collateral, and leading training sessions to ensure effective market positioning and sales execution.
- Sabre’s self-service data repositories to gather and analyze business insights, using this data to guide strategy, inform customer interactions, and provide input on product roadmap decisions. This analytical approach will support revenue goals and booking targets by ensuring decisions are based on sound, data-driven insights.
Qualifications And Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or technology.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a commercial role with hospitality, travel tech or travel management industry.
- Experience in travel distribution, hotel revenue management, or supplier management is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the travel tech ecosystem, including familiarity with Online Booking Tools (OBTs), API integrations, and back-office systems used by TMCs and OTAs.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business targets.
- Business level fluency in English and a major Asian language.
