ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Collaborates with the Product Owner to prioritize technical and functional requirements and maintenance of the product roadmap.
- Identifies what the business wants and works with the team to determine what's feasible to deliver (adherence to firm policies and standards).
- Understands pieces of the business capability to understand potential process redesign opportunities.
- Defines, documents, and communicates requirements in work items for product development team (epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria).
- Organizes, models, and specifies requirements with the appropriate level of detail given complexity, risk, and audience; represent requirements using alternative views (ex. models/diagrams) where appropriate.
- Participates and champions all agile/scrum ceremonies (or adherence to Kanban principles)
- Monitors sprint burndown charts to know when to ramp up/down the team to drive quality and velocity over time.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major).
- Certification of Capability in Business Analysis or equivalent experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies (required).
- Is highly technical, but still able to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and communicate well.
- Have 5+ years of professional analyst experience.
- Is passionate about understanding the client’s needs.
- Thrives in ambiguity, working across multiple organizational stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Application integration APIs
- SQL queries and cloud native application knowledge are plusses (but not required)
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business or Information Systems
- Prior public accounting experience with mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience (preferred).
