Minerva Science and Analytics team is looking for an experienced, self-driven business analyst to help us support the Mesa business in the books organization responsible for product offerings that deal with the complex publishing and content risk management lifecycle. Our team has mature areas and green-field opportunities. We offer technical autonomy, value end-to-end ownership, and have a customer-focused culture.
Key job responsibilities
An ideal candidate for this role:
· Will have relevant experience in data analytics working with large data sets and to extract and transform data using various tools and technologies
· Will transform data into actionable business information, and will make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide
· Will use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format
· Will be passionate about finding root causes, trends, and patterns and how they impact business.
· Will be very comfortable juggling competing priorities and handling ambiguity
About the team
Minerva is a cross-functional team of highly experienced analysts, BIEs, scientists, data engineers, and software engineers with a critical business mission making revolutionary leaps forward using massive-scale data with advanced analytics and machine learning and helping democratize the publishing industry. We build analytics and science-based systems to support end to end publishing life cycle for Indie authors.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Bengaluru, KA, IND
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field
- - Experience in working with databases, ETL tools in a business environment
- - Demonstrated use of analytical packages and query languages such SQL
- - Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight
- - Experience communicating analytical outcomes through written communication to both business and technical teams
