Job Title: Business Analyst - Decision Intelligence


  • Brief Job Summary
  • The Business Analyst role works across data-focused projects in support of the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization in the Data and Supply Technology Excellence (DSTE) team. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated IT Business Analyst specialist with a passion for data and knowledge of multiple technologies and business concepts. Knowledge of agile project management, cloud computing is a plus.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring IT projects meet business requirements and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Domain knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain process is desired. Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is a big plus.

  • Role Purpose
    • Support development, operations, and enhancements of decision intelligence and analytic-focused digital capabilities for GPS BI&T. This includes requirements gathering for decision intelligence solutions following full software lifecycle management.
  • Key Responsibilities (role/business capability)
    • Collaborate with different teams across GPS and BI&T organizations to assist in developing requirements, refine business rules, define acceptance criteria, and testing approach for DI and analytic solutions.
    • Work with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
    • Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
    • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications for development team. Work with development teams to evaluate potential solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are technically feasible.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the GPS data ecosystem and its technologies, specifically SAP.
    • Ensure adherence to applicable data governance policies and procedures for GPS data assets including management of data access policies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or similar positions.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, as well as QA methodologies, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write user stories conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of Decision intelligence tools (such as Aera), data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, understanding of data warehousing concepts, exposure to ERP systems such as SAP
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Production Planning in a Pharmaceutical industry is a big plus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all deliverables.
  • Understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
