Job Description: Business Analyst (Asset Management)

Role: Lead Business Analyst


Location: Mumbai


Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic Lead Business Analyst to join our Asset Management team. This role involves leading a team of Business Analysts in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a thorough understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.


Overall Responsibilities:


  • Lead the BA team in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create detailed requirement specifications that guide project development.
  • Ensure project requirements align with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage change requests, track project progress, and escalate issues as necessary.

Technical Skills:


  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar).
  • Knowledge of asset management principles and relevant software tools.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of Business Analysts.
  • Exposure to various industries and domains, especially in finance or asset management.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Lead the team in conducting stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering workshops.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions between stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and management.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
