About the department

Finance Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore was established in 2007 and is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for Head Quarters at Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. Commercial Analytics is part of Finance GBS and was founded in June 2013 with the idea of establishing a team consisting of dedicated analytics professionals to provide the best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global Organisation. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

The position

As a Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:

• Develop and implement Competitive Intelligence, Market Sizing, and other strategic projects. Analyze multiple datasets including IQVIA Market/Sales/Promotional Data and Internal Company Sales Data.
• Generate insights from data and recommend actionable solutions. Provide analytical and consulting services in designing, delivering, and executing Business Intelligence projects.
• Develop custom analysis tools and dashboards using Advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. Conduct quality checks of various reports and analyses to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Prepare management presentations and make recommendations based on data and market insights. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and develop operating manuals for deliverables.
• Independently execute tasks and projects with minimal supervision. Participate actively in monthly meetings with stakeholders and implement action plans.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

Need to have:

• Master’s Degree in a quantitative/management discipline from a well-recognised institute.
• Under-graduate degree in Pharma (B. Pharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc), or Engineering (B. Tech).
• 5+ years of experience in the Pharma industry.
• Hands-on working knowledge of Advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different geographies.

Nice to have:

• Consulting experience.
• Experience in Market Analysis, Forecasting, and consulting projects.
• Knowledge of SAP (Business Warehouse or Business Objects).
• Hands-on experience in building/maintaining sales planning models.
