Responsibilities

As a Bid Excellence Manager at DHL Supply Chain India, you will will drive seller effectiveness and productivity by guiding business development teams through the pursuit phase, providing structure, process, best practice tools and strategies to enable the best chance of winning business. In addition to the development of high-quality, value-based, and customer-centric proposal and presentation deliverables, the role will support proactive opportunity planning, shape winning bid strategies, craft compelling stories using multiple delivery formats including but not limited to presentations, webpages, social media, videos etc, capture key learnings, and tailor best practices into repeatable processes, applying consistent standards of excellence to all pursuits. You will have end to end responsibility of creating, updating and managing sales content required throughout all phases of a B2B Sales cycle. You will also have responsibility to manage internal tools such as bid response creation platforms & upkeep & maintenance of our content hub regularly accessed by sales team members. You will closely collaboration with India Business Leader, Sector leaders & regional sales team members supporting them in their marquee account chases

Key responsibilities


Customer


  • Support organizational growth objectives and achievement of Business Development performance targets by positioning teams to win and retain business.
  • Ensure Voice of Customer is reflected across all proposal and presentation deliverables and maintain consistent application of customer focus principles.
  • Analyze RFPs and assess requirements, evaluation criteria, and key deliverables, and ensure compliance with customer requirements, including brand standards.

Research & Planning


  • Gather intelligence about the customer and the opportunity, conduct competitive analysis, and assess business fit.
  • Facilitate value proposition sessions to identify key win themes along with opportunity owners and differentiators and define proposal strategy aligned with the overall pursuit strategy.
  • Assess overall proposal effort and resource requirements and establish bid plan and schedule.

Management


  • Own end-to-end process and ensure best practices and tools are consistently applied.
  • Manage the bid timeline, ensuring adherence to deadlines throughout the bid process.
  • Quality assurance to ensure the highest quality deliverables aligned to Bid Excellence standards and timely submission.

Desired Skills and Experience


To be successful in this position, we're looking for candidates with below qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Marketing
  • 5 - 6 years of experience directly related to bid management, sales content creation & content hub management
  • Excellent command over English language
  • Transportation and logistics industry or sector background will be a plus.
  • Strong project management, able to handle multi-tasks with time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft office applications & MS Sharepoint
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels internally and externally.
  • Establishes clear, challenging, and achievable objectives.
  • Aligns resources and the organization within own area of responsibility to achieve objectives.
  • Regularly reviews and communicates progress against objectives and adjusts as needed.
  • Champions continuous improvement and innovation.
