About Position / Position Summary

IT&DA supply chain is currently looking for Experienced Cognos BI reporting Developer to join their team in Bangalore, India. The positions will focus on implementation of SAP S/4 HANA capability for Enterprise Asset Management.

As a Senior Cognos BI Reporting Developer, you must have ability to support DW/BI project teams to provide guidance and expertise to develop, document, implement and maintain BI reporting solutions. Assist projects in the use of vendor tools to develop solutions to accomplish data analysis, data movement and BI in a distributed environment. Use architecturally approved tools (COGNOS, Suite) to satisfy user BI reporting requirements including the building of reports, cubes, and queries, and reports.

The ability to formulate, deploy and evolve broad Enterprise Asset (per ISO 55000 definition) strategies, in coordination with other Enterprise strategies, to optimize production system operational performance, health, cost and risk and manage assets as a holistic Enterprise Asset Portfolio.

A successful candidate must have proven full project lifecycle experience, preferably supporting DW/BI projects. Prefer experience building BI solutions in a distributed, client-server environment using vendor tools (Cognos, Brio, Business Objects, etc.)

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Aid in End to-End Report Solution design, Technical Spec preparation, Realization and Deployment.
• Lead projects in the use of vendor tools to develop solutions to accomplish data analysis, data movement and BI in a distributed environment. Use architecturally approved tools (COGNOS, Suite) to satisfy user BI reporting requirements.
• Independently take up and participate in Requirement gathering, Document preparation, End to-End Solution design, Technical Spec preparation, Realization and Deployment.
• Involve in governance of the technical design and development approach.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams comprising of business SMEs, Architects, Developers and SIs on current processes and proposing solutions to develop system reporting designs/solutions.
• Identify, recommend, and implement complex BI Reporting solutions and implement full cycle configuration to meet business needs; create and update associated documentation.
• Develop, review, and maintain functional/report design documents in collaboration with stakeholders and SI partners.
• Working with the ERP Functional Analyst colleagues to design and develop reporting solutions.
• He or she should be able to work with internal and external resources, to develop the functionality and integrate it with other existing SAP and Non-SAP applications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• 7 to 9 years of Cognos BI reporting, development, testing and deployment experience.
• Hands on experience with Experience with Relational and multidimensional reporting tools
• Must be able to analyze technical BI reporting alternatives, determine, document and lead teams of analysts to build best solutions.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Expertise in DW/BI projects and knowledge of ETL (extract, transfer, load) concepts and tools
• Expertise in technical solution analysis and BI Reporting in large complex SAP solution landscape
• Industry knowledge (e.g., ISO 55000, etc.) to take high level requirements and demonstrate into working prototypes with the systems.
• Strong working experience in SAP HANA Platform, SAP BI, COGNOS Report Development
• Certification in SAP Business Intelligence Development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• COGNOS Certification
• Functional knowledge in any area Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, Close to Report processes is preferred.
• Exposure towards CDS views, AMDP
• Web Dynpro
• BRF+

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through Bachelor or Maser degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
