Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Business Continuity Analyst will work with Cloud Service Teams (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) to help ensure compliance with IBM internal Business Continuity Management (BCM) and external regulatory requirements based on the needs of our clients including the support of various client audits and regulatory activities. This individual will schedule and track various Business Continuity Planning (BCP) update activities as well as the scheduling, tracking, and monitoring of key testing deliverables on an annual basis.
The ideal candidate should be able to:
Coordinate planning and delivery of BCM and IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) program for IBM Cloud Services
Coordinate DR planning and testing activities with service teams and BC/DR focals (IaaS and PaaS)
Coordinate service onboarding and/or recertification evaluations for new or modified services
Provide command and control during BC/DR disruptive events including recovery and response coordination
Coordinate with service teams and BC/DR Focals to complete BCP/IT DR activities including tracking / reporting overdue deliverables and generating metrics / reporting
Track and report compliance with Business Continuity and IT DR Standards
Create, review and maintain BC/DR Documentation and Guidance for internal and
external (client) consumption.
Support IBM Certification efforts for Business Continuity related controls and requirements (e.g., ISO22301, DORA, HITRUST, SOC2, NIST 800-34, FBA, HIPAA)
Assist in the preparation of customer reports
Assist in the development and communication of training materials
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but should not discourage those having the requisite technical and soft skills from applying
Applied IT industry proficiency coordinating Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery and Operational Resilience programs
Applied proficiency with IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) management in a Cloud environment
Applied experience and knowledge of Risk Management and /or Information Security standards and best practices
Experience with Risk / Issue Management, and Regulatory Compliance
Conversant with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO22301, NIST SP 800-34, Hi Trust, FBA, DORA, etc.,)
Working knowledge of Financial Services preferred
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Applied knowledge of Cloud services including Network, Storage, Compute, Containerization, and Databases
Applied and demonstrated knowledge of Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience principals including impacts caused by evolving regulatory requirements in these areas
Strong Risk Management and Governance acumen
Experience with industry BCM Tooling solutions (e.g., ServiceNow, Fusion)
