This role reports to the Platform Manager -End Uses Compute, and is located in Bangalore, India.
You will collaborate closely with our global Vontier teams and Operating Companies, managing day-to-day activities through our systems. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Azure Virtual Desktop, you will work closely with infrastructure and product team leads, architects, and enhance the digital workspace experience using Public Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 tools and technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Client & Application Virtualization solutions such as AVD, Citrix, VMware, Windows 365, etc. This involves leveraging technologies from both the Public Cloud and on-premises infrastructure to meet our business needs. You will also drive best practices in Client & Application Virtualization infrastructure tools and technology.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Hands-on experience implementing and configuring Azure Virtual Desktop components, such as host pools, app groups, workspaces, images, profiles, policies, and scaling.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols related to virtual desktop environments.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware, Citrix, Windows 365 performance, availability, security, and connectivity.
• Demonstrated expertise in migrating from Citrix and other VDI solutions to Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing Azure Virtual Desktop costs with automation and AI.
• Knowledge of other VDI solutions such as Azure Workplace, Citrix, VMware View.
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Virtual Desktop operational support.
• Manage Azure Active Directory for Azure AVD and Azure AVD Clusters HA systems.
• Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions for Azure AVD-based production configurations.
• Experience with other Public Cloud platforms like AWS, printing, device management, users, and group policy management.
• Good hands-on experience with user profile management products, Roaming Profiles, Fslogix, and OneDrive.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) of system and application configurations and changes.
• Awareness of App Layering solutions like FlexApp, MSIX App Attach, etc.
WHO YOU ARE
• Candidates applying for this position should have at least 5-7 years of experience in developing and supporting Client and Application Virtualization with AVD, VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, Office 365, etc.
• Candidates must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation.
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, including the Windows server and Cloud application Architecture.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of quality standards, legislation, ITIL, and best practices.
• Capacity to adapt and prioritize tasks effectively, proficient in gathering and assimilating information.
• Familiarity with industry standards, available technologies, and best practices in security and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
