We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Azure security Engineer with a strong focus on security practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure and networking, strong security practices (monitoring, Azure Defender, etc.), and a solid understanding of compliance. You will play a key role in managing and securing our production environment, working cross-functionally to drive results with a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage secure Azure cloud infrastructure, including Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Subnets, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Implement and maintain robust security practices, including the configuration of NSGs, Azure Firewall, DDoS protection, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Ensure the secure integration of hybrid networks between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, managing connectivity solutions such as Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, ensuring secure and compliant infrastructure.
• Monitor production environments, Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, or similar tools for security and policy enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of security practices, such as identity management, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams taking ownership of assigned tasks to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications:
• Strong Azure background: Extensive experience with Azure services (VMs, App Services, Networking, etc.) and Azure automation.
• Strong security background: Proficient in using security tools like Azure Defender, monitoring tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Basic knowledge of compliance: Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2) and the ability to implement compliance measures in cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Azure networking knowledge: Deep understanding of Azure networking components, such as Virtual Networks, VPNs, routing, NSGs, and Load Balancers.
• Driven, independent and result oriented : Able to work autonomously, take ownership, and deliver result oriented outcomes
• Hands on working on Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, or similar tools for policy enforcement
Nice-to-Have:
• Certifications
o Azure security Engineer associate (AZ - 500)
• Knowledge on Security compliance and measures to maintain compliance
• Familiarity with security certifications and auditing tools.
• Cross-team communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across teams.
• Attention to detail: A detail-oriented mindset, especially when working in a high-stakes production environment.
