Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer to join McAfee's SOC and lead cloud security initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for securing our AWS infrastructure, focusing on cloud-native services, containerized environments, and managed databases like RDS. As the first line of defense, you will work with various security tools to monitor, analyze, and strengthen security controls, ensuring compliance across cloud environments. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with a customer-centric mindset to maintain a secure workspace for McAfee’s workforce.
This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About The Role:
- Implement and manage AWS GuardDuty for real-time threat detection and automated incident response.
- Configure and maintain AWS CloudTrail and CloudWatch for comprehensive security monitoring, API tracking, and alerting on suspicious activities.
- Secure containerized environments on EKS, ECS, or Fargate by integrating security best practices into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps collaboration.
- Ensure the secure configuration and management of AWS RDS databases, covering encryption, backups, and access control.
- Automate security operations with AWS Lambda for routine tasks such as audits, patches, and compliance checks, ensuring overall AWS security best practices.
About You:
- 3-6 years of experience in AWS security and cloud operations.
- Strong expertise in AWS GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch for cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with securing container environments like EKS, ECS, or Fargate.
- Proficiency in securing AWS RDS with encryption, backup management, and access controls.
- AWS certifications preferred, strong DevSecOps knowledge, and flexibility to work in UK/US shifts.
