The Opportunity:
Exciting opportunity to be a Learning leader and Performance Consultant to the HSBC Tech India Business - an opportunity to demonstrate industry knowledge, business acumen coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills. S/He should be able to design end-to-end learning solutions across the Organization, for multiple business verticals spread across different locations in India. S/He should have great influencing skills towards effective stakeholder management while driving complex learning assignments; The role requires the Learning Consultant to drive the execution of key priorities toward achieving the L&TD team goals.
What you’ll do:
• Formulate & Implement Learning Strategy - Work with HSBC Technology business leadership, Regional and Global Learning & Talent Development team, other HR functions and help define and implement sustainable, strategic learning initiatives in alignment with Business Strategy and HR/People Priorities
• Design, develop and deliver end-to-end learning solutions to support HSBC colleagues develop leadership, behavioral capabilities to meet the business outcomes
• Lead data analysis to drive advanced understanding of learning consumption, measurable impact and report out to relevant insights to all relevant stakeholders
• Manage process related to the tracking of learner compliance with mandatory/recommended learning requirements and onboarding training
• Ensure HSBC policies, programs, and guidelines are followed and manage exemptions/exceptions, as needed
• Participate in or lead learning project teams to build positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, SMEs and peers
• Provide functional area expertise to identify, research and resolve complex problems
• Execute and operationalize development programs and processes
• Use learning measurement and analytics to assess program efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that all key learning metrics are measured, published, and leveraged for decision making
Strategy
• Ensure practices and procedures are adhered to and training materials remain compliant with HSBC and regulatory standards
• Monitor progress made by the learners to achieve required proficiency in line with the desirable results
• Drive strategic learning initiatives that support the HTI business strategy and streamline processes, management information (MI), and reports for audit preparedness
• Act as a performance improvement consultant around analyzing needs, solutioning and executing strategy focused on building leadership capabilities across roles within the business
• Develop and sustain a high touch learning culture and enable a consistent approach towards development
• Manage L&D investment through effective planning, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management
• Use learning measurement and analytics to assess program efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that all key learning metrics are measured, published and leveraged for decision making
• Oversee the delivery of Tech India learning and capability development programs through collaboration with Tech Academy and core COE teams
Stakeholder Management
• Leverage deep relationship with key business leaders and develop a strong understanding of business needs and strategic priorities to provide effective service delivery
• Act as a learning consultant and manage key stakeholder relationships across business verticals and locations
• Build trusting relationship within team and outside, contribute to building a positive and nurturing team culture
• Build strong and deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Support the L&TD leadership in the dissemination and monitoring of the team’s BAU assignments as well as track and drive the completion of tasks, projects deliverables
• Ensure the timely and accurate updating, completion, submission, and maintenance of pertinent records, reports, trackers, and required management information using designated templates, data platforms, and the learning management system
• Create and submit quarterly training calendar to vendor partner team in a timely manner. Publish calendar on time for business to enroll and participate
• Deploy HSBC University priority programs, Global Mandatory Trainings, D&I Training within expected timelines
Operations
• Track and maintain the learning budget for L&TD CoE by using advanced financial management skills.
• Execute the development activities for HTI business teams including identifying learning needs, enabling development and design of learning content, delivery of training programs, measurement and analysis of learning effectiveness
• Proactively identify risks and recommend opportunities for process improvement
• Strengthen HTI’s Learning and Talent Development needs by aligning with the business objectives
• Maintain oversight on all vendor delivered programs within HTI
• Capture data and metrics around Talent Development programs and deliver insights and dashboards to leadership on compliance, capability, skill gaps, learning trend movement, as well as efficiency and effectiveness of L&D investments.
• Periodically communicate the right set of metrics to the relevant stakeholder group
