We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President , Asia Pacific Capital Management


Principal responsibilities


  • The role holder will work across a number of disciplines within Asia PacificCapital Management, and report to the Capital Analytics Team Lead. On a day-to-day basis, for functional matters, will have a reporting line to the Regional ASP Capital Management team in Hong Kong and align with the working pattern of Hong Kong team where possible.  Key responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in production of detailed capital plans under ongoing Forecasting, Financial Resource Planning, other adhoc scenarios, and clearly articulate the results;
  • Provide support in the preparation of submissions to Group, ALCO and HKMA.
  • Work with Group and within Asia Pacific Regional Capital Management team(s) to identify efficiency initiatives, investigate feasibility and support in implementation.
  • Provide support in model capital efficiency initiatives and scenarios to identify the optimum allocation of capital within business and regulatory constraints.
  • Assist in the review and challenge local capital plans.
  • Provide Support in assessment and articulation of risks to capital.
  • Working with the wider Capital management team to ensure plans reflect impacts of capital initiatives and regulatory change, and to identify further opportunities.
  • Working with Strategic Planning and Stress Testing to enhance and integrate the planning and stress testing processes, shifting towards more efficient tools and flexible modelling of the capital position.
  • Other initiatives within the Capital Management team, as required.  These may focus on capital efficiency, capital performance, ad-hoc analysis or be broader in nature.
