Responsibilities

 


Design Strategy & Planning
 


  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and prioritize strategic user research and design needs; ensure that research insights inform design decisions.
  • Partner with the CX Manager and peer architects to plan and execute the strategy.
  • Directly communicate with product owners, senior stakeholders and clients to discuss and understand business needs and goals.
  • Utilize business data and implement data-driven design strategies to help achieve business goals
  • Unify / Combine the gathered research and data through content strategy documents, presentation decks, and project briefs.
  • Draft problem statements and use-case scenarios to explain high level user problems.
  • Create strategy briefs in a storytelling format, supported by product roadmaps, and user journey maps to ensure and communicate clear objectives.
  • Conduct performance audits through various measurement tools that provide user behavior insights and suggest required strategic design changes.
     

Leadership
 


  • Identify Scope of Improvement - Study the product(s) and review results to enhance user experience through revised strategy and design leadership
  • Serve as a guide/facilitator and to take on a range of roles and responsibilities to teach (& also learn) through a commitment to the mutual growth
  • Guide all members of the team through mentorship and design reviews.

     

Education, Experience & Skills
 


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or similar, Cognitive Psychology, Engineering or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience working in user experience design
  • Strong understanding of combining user-centered design principles with user research
  • Proven success in strategic and design thinking, and expertise in concept design, design systems, usability testing, information architecture and other modern design practices.
  • Experience working across all platforms and device types specific to the product and service offering
  • Knowledge of Lean UX principles.
  • Expert experience with design, project management and analytics software.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

SKILLS


  Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Explains the benefits of building business partnerships.
