Company:Qualcomm India Private LimitedJob Area:Engineering Services Group, Engineering Services Group > Support EngineeringGeneral Summary:As a Support Engineer at Qualcomm, you will significantly contribute to our product improvement and work with other Engineers to sustain aspects of our product development life cycle. Support Engineers will also play a critical role in resolving technical system issues that promote product reliability. You will have endless opportunities to learn and grow in the Engineering development space. Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience. ORAssociate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience. ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.GENERAL SUMMARY:Support development and testing of next generation digital cockpit and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Work closely with engineers to bring up initial design prototypes, create and run factory test procedures for platform screening, validate device performance, assist in debugging HW issues, HW design characterization, Install, maintain and support device rack infrastructure.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide lab support role to support engineers in bring up of design prototypes.Provide lab support in platform sustenanceSupport design verification testing of platforms in the labDevelop factory test processes and procedures for automotive development platformsSupport factory technicians in integration of manufacturing test flowsTroubleshoot and repair defective platformsMaintain and manage labs and lab equipment’sSupport Device FarmHardware Installation: Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components in the device racks as needed.Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of rack layouts, equipment configurations, and maintenance activities.Incident Response: Respond to and resolve technical issues and incidents in a timely manner.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate will possess 3-4 years of experience in lab environment with emphasis on baseband hardware test support in a R&D development environmentSound understanding of basic digital and analog electrical principles and ability to interpret schematics and board filesPractical lab experience troubleshooting hardware using computer, test equipment, and test system knowledgeProficient using lab test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimetersFamiliar with Windows environment, able to install and troubleshoot software and hardware driversAbility to work and stay organized in a high pace development environmentAbility to generate clear rework instructions for proto technicians to followAbility to generate clear instructions and procedures for technicians to followStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsAbility to solder small components (0402)Experience maintaining rack room infrastructureProficiency in hardware troubleshooting and network configurationAbility to use schematic capture and layout viewer toolsAbility to Quickly grasp requirements and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of experience in lab environment with emphasis on baseband hardware test support in a R&D development environmentExperience in automated test system support such as supporting test in a manufacturing environmentExperience in working with Agile PLM tools for Bom ManagementExperience with C/C++/C# or Python and ability to write basic scripts for test flow automationExperience managing lab benches and equipmentFamiliarity with software debug tools like JTAG debuggersProactive person that shows successful Team Management skillsApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
