Overview:
Citi’s OTC Clearing platform is the #1 OTC Clearing platform in the world. The OTC Clearing program is intended to build the core backbone for the OTC real time clearing technology, covering Trade STP (e.g. trade flow management, allocations, clearing, booking) and static and semi-static reference data for the OTC business, as well as the MIS/CRM capabilities needed to run the business. A major ongoing initiative is to build out the clearing platform with a scalable and resilient architecture to support high trading volumes and new business requirements.
Role:
The Senior QA Test Analyst role will be an integral part of the OTC Clearing Technology team in Pune. The candidate will work in an Agile setting and collaborate with the Scrum Team and Product Owner to perform functional, non-functional and regression testing as well as automate the testing process for better efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Product Owner and members of the Scrum Team to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work with clearing houses (CCPs) to set up connectivity to test environments.
- Create test documents and identify test data for functional, non-functional and regression testing.
- Perform functional, non- functional and regression testing to ensure functionality meets stakeholder requirements.
- Capture test evidences from the end-to-end testing functional, non-function and regression testing cycles.
- Collaborate with the QA Team globally for project delivery and to automate manual test cases using Citi approved tools. Some late night calls may be required.
- Participate in QA Testing walkthroughs with the Product Owner and members of the Scrum Team.
- Proactively identify risks, outline mitigation strategies and ability to work under pressure.
- Track bugs to closure and highlight any known issues or workarounds to the project team.
- Create, manage and own testing documentation in Confluence and JIRA project repositories.
- Track QA metrics, estimate work and generate reports for management reporting
- Detail oriented, with a passion for continuous process improvements
- Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinements, sprint planning, daily standups sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 8+ years experience in an IT Quality role with commensurate experience in people management Substantial experience in a senior technology leadership role Developed communication skills to negotiate with others at a senior level; may communicate with external parties.
- Experience in the financial services domain, preferably in Trade Processing or Middle Office applications.
- Experience working on large scale, global initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and engage stakeholders in a distributed team environment.
- Strong problem solving skills and excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running.
- Ability to master concepts quickly, adapt to changing requirements and deal with ambiguity without impacting delivery.
- Willingness to ask questions, challenge status-quo and seek out answers independently.
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership and accountability for his/her work.
- Ability to understand and construct SQL Queries.
- Knowledge of QA Tools such as Selenium, Cucumber and QTP.
- Experience in Automation Testing and Framework development using Java/Selenium.
- Experience in Java, TestNG, Rest assured, Cucumber Frameworks.
- Experience in JSON parsing and handling and shell scripting.
- Experience in Jenkin, OpenShift, docker and exposure in Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline for automation.
- Experience in unit testing and code coverage tools.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Understanding of Over the Counter (OTC) Derivatives and Clearing workflow
- Prior experience in testing client-facing/onboarding applications having faced-off clients
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Equivalent preferred.
