Automation engineer

Overall Responsibilities:

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement testing methodologies and delivering high-quality products within tight deadlines. You will utilize TOSCA for automated testing and batch processing to streamline the testing lifecycle.

Technical Skills:

Core Skills:

• Proficient in Automation Testing using TOSCA, including experience in batch testing.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and working in Agile environments.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with macros for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of other automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience:

• 1-4 years of experience in Automation Testing, specifically with TOSCA.
• Proven experience in batch testing using TOSCA.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using TOSCA to validate software functionality and performance.
• Conduct batch testing to ensure thorough coverage and efficiency in the testing process.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand testing requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Review and analyze test results, identifying defects and ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain and enhance existing automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
