The Manager – Demand and Supply Planning is working in a company’s supply chain to utilize analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands. They develop an effective forecast model by paying attention to demand patterns.
The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders. We have to manage a team of 5 planners.
Job Responsibilities :
Gathering data from internal and external sources that may impact demand, such as sales, stock, and promotions.
Analyzing data to identify patterns and trends and to model future demand.
Developing demand forecasts for multiple time horizons and levels of aggregation.
Providing input to supply planning to develop inventory strategies for new products, existing items, and product phase-outs.
Refining systems and methods to improve forecasts and better anticipate customer needs.
Interacting with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
Provide input to the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Manage warehousewise supply planners for 4 warehouses catering to 150 service branch locations and 22 product branch locations.
Tracking the company’s current inventory.
Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking.
Collaborating with procurement and logistics department team members,
Generate and publish monthly MIS for Indents Vs Supply and inventory movement.
Select and implement forecasting software with help of the company's IT team.
