Associate Staff Engineer, Scum Master

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience 5 years.
• Expertise in Kanban, Program Backlog Management.
• Strong workingexperience as a Scrum Master in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in release planning and backlog refinement.
• Proficiency with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally.
• Ability to drive continuous process improvement and Agile coaching.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, UX).
• Experience in Scaled Agile (SAFe), LeSS, or Nexus frameworks.
• Certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master).
• Background in software development or QA (understanding of SDLC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
• Foster an environment of self-organizing teams and Agile maturity.
•  Remove impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution.
•  Track and report team velocity, burndown charts, and release progress.
• Sprint Planning & Release Management
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering to define realistic sprint goals and release plans.
• Work with teams to refine the product backlog, ensuring clear and achievable deliverables.
• Align technical dependencies, risks, and priorities for seamless releases.
•  Ensure on-time, high-quality releases by identifying bottlenecks early.
•  Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Coach teams on Agile principles, mindset, and best practices.
• Drive cross-team coordination and resolve conflicts to improve efficiency.
• Implement data-driven decision-making for productivity enhancements.
• Advocate for Agile engineering practices (CI/CD, test automation, DevOps collaboration). Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
• Provide transparent updates on sprint/release progress, risks, and blockers to leadership.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and QA to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Communicate key metrics and insights for data-driven decision-making.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
