Associate Staff Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience of 5+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks, including Spring, Spring Boot, and custom frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, and Airflow.
• Experience working with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL (including writing complex SQL queries).
• Experience with Blue Yonder – Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Strong understanding of the Supply Chain Transportation domain, including shipment consolidation and routing optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based deployment models.
• Experience working with SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs for data exchange and integration.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and process optimization.
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience in data modeling and data analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Writing and reviewing great quality code 
• Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them in to technical design which elegantly meets the requirements 
• Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers 
• Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the client’s requirements 
• Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation 
• Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers 
• Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed 
• Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it 
• Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects 
• Resolving issues that are raised during code/review, through exhaustive systematic analysis of the root cause, and being able to justify the decision taken 
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
