Your Role and Responsibilities YouYouYou will be responsible for driving analysis of complex business issues facing the IBM Infrastructure Business Unit. This business comprises of leading-edge offerings such as Cloud, Z (Mainframe), Power, Storage and Technical support services. This business is the foundation for IBM’s push to be a leader in AI and Hybrid Cloud. You will need to understand the broad trends in technology and apply appropriate methodologies to recommend strategies and tactics to enhance the performance of IBM Infrastructure business. You will be a member of the Global Infrastructure Strategy and Business Development team that sets priorities for the business and communicates it external analysts, VCs, etc.
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
Inform IBM Infrastructure senior executive decisions with project engagements to architect unit-wide strategic direction
Engage with Business Unit leaders to determine root causes to be evaluated, hypotheses to be tested, and business outcomes to be achieved
Establish relationships with internal client teams and interface with stakeholders across Business Units to gather information, gain diverse perspectives, and deepen subject matter expertise
Develop fact-based client, market, and competitor insights based on research conducted across a variety of sources, e.g., primary interviews, analyst reports, and internal databases
Synthesize insights and recommendations into client presentations to clearly communicate findings to Business Unit leaders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Either a Master’s Degree or a Bachelors Degree in technology with 9+ years of business experience in a consulting/investment banking or venture capital role as a strategy advisor.
Able to travel approximately 10% annually
Fluent in the English language
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Master’s Degree in Business/Management from top institution
