Associate Principal Engineer, Liferay

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience 10+ years
• Strong experience in software development with Liferay and Java. 
• Having In-depth knowledge of Liferay Portal and related technologies.
• Extensive experience in Java development, including familiarity with modern frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Liferay APIs.
• Knowledge of Liferay architecture, including portlets, themes, hooks, and extensions.
• Knowledge of Liferay APIs for developing custom portlets, services, and themes.
• Experience working with Liferay IDE or other development environments for Liferay.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues
• Ability to work effectively and manage partnerships with all areas and members of the business as well as all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentoring your team members in projects and helping them keep up with new technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them in to technical design which elegantly meets the requirements
• Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers
• Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the client’s requirements
• Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
• Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers
• Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed
• Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it
• Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
