Associate Principal Consultant, Japanese Translator

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total Experience 10+ years.
• Fluency in Japanese and English with strong written communication skills in both languages.
• Hands on experience translating PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other business materials from Japanese to English and vice versa.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, contextual relevance, and preservation of intended meaning and tone.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word.
• Familiarity with translation and localization tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ) is a plus.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
• Strong organizational and proofreading skills to maintain high-quality translations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Japanese Studies, or a related field (preferred).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Translate PowerPoint presentations, documents, reports, and other written materials from Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
• Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with company terminology and style guidelines.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deadlines.
• Proofread and edit translations to ensure consistency and high quality.
• Maintain updated glossaries and translation memory databases for ongoing and future projects.
• Support the localization of materials to align with the cultural and linguistic nuances of Japanese audiences.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
