Associate Manager, Solution Engineering (Site Reliability Engineer) – Pune, India

You will be working with a team of engineers with a broad range of responsibilities including all aspects of software engineering like requirements understanding and validation, solution design detailed design, development, testing and software configuration management. Build products, systems, and services that are optimized, well organized and maintainable, and have high impact on our end users.


Role Responsibilities


  • Be part of a high-performing team of engineer with a broad range of responsibilities including availability, reliability and performance of WU’s critical payments platforms.
  • You will demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
  • You will create robust monitoring solutions through tools like Splunk & Dynatrace for preempting and identifying production issues. 
  • You will also liaison (build cadence and relationships) between various teams like technical support, development, business-ops and product. 
  • You will develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges.  You will work closely with technical support, drive troubleshooting by code analysis and create engineering support.

Role Requirements


  • 8+ years of IT experience in DevOps, Automation and Technical Operations.
  • Must have 4+ yrs in Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong experience in setting up SLI (Service Level Indicator) and SLO (Service Level Objective)
  • Hands-on knowledge on setting up reliability matrices using tools like Dynatrace, DataDog, CloudWatch, or OpenSearch
  • In-depth experience in Incident management, Change management and Release Management
  • Hands-on experience in support automation using python or other scripting language.
  • Good knowledge in system design and architecture on both on-prem and cloud applications.
  • Hands-on knowledge of logging and log monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK and OpenSearch. Knowledge of DevOps.
  • Expert in project management, communication, collaboration, team leading and stakeholders management
  • Self-starter, good analytical skills, proficient in troubleshooting
  • Worked on Agile environment – Scrum and KanBan, SAFe is preferred.
