Your Role and Responsibilities
The Associate Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer works to assist Instructional Designers in the design, development, and evaluation of instructionally-sound learning and performance interventions.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development of instructionally sound learning experiences designed to close performance gaps.
- Assist in the development of digital training assets using the most current practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Communicate throughout the development process with project management and team members.
- Serve as an active mentee to HCS LD Instructional Designers to improve design knowledge, technical skills, and overall performance
- Assist the lead Instructional Designer in the following tasks:
- Write and evaluate learning or performance objectives based on needs analysis, requirement gathering, and project scope.
- Leverage adult learning theory and client scope to select and implement instructional strategies.
- Create instructional design documents.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Gather content from client source materials and SME interviews.
- Organize learning content into meaningful chunks.
- Design evaluation instruments (such as assessment questions or surveys) to measure learning effectiveness and improve new or existing learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with the Lead LED/ID and Project Manager, reporting progress and staying within project hour allocations while adhering to budget limits.
- Proofread, edit, and update all learning deliverables regularly.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Graduate or post-graduate with 7 to 10 years of overall experience with minimum of 3 to 4 years in Content Development or Instructional Design in any International IT/ITES Company
- Knowledge of learning experience design methods including the ADDIE model.
- Knowledge of learning theory and educational psychology and their application to adult learning.
- Experience using courseware development tools (such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate Rise, murf, PageTiger, WalkMe)
- Good to know – Liquid Planner, SNOW, Cornerstone Ondemand
- Experience using graphics tools for simple functions such as:
- Image resizing, cropping, colour adjustment, and text replacement
- Combining or re-editing images to create new images.
- Should have a valid passport
- Should have excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English
- Should have strong hands-on knowledge in experience design methods including the ADDIE model at a Global Level & Graphic Model Tools
- Should be open to working in night shifts
