Job Purpose:
The Payroll Administration Specialist is responsible for providing global or region-specific payroll operations support. They collect key data inputs from various teams (e.g., Benefits, Compensation, Mobility) to administer the disbursement of pay. The Payroll Administration Specialist is the face of payroll to Hitachi employees, working with third party payroll suppliers, Total Rewards COE, and BU HR to answer and resolve queries. The Payroll Specialist ensures that Hitachi employees get paid in a timely fashion, and that Hitachi is disbursing pay in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:
Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
Regular and off-cycle payroll and distribute payments.
Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, and bonuses.
Calculate and administer statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity pay, and pensions.
Liaise with the HR team to ensure accurate employee input management.
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve issues promptly.
Prepare payroll reports for management and finance departments.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, including PAYE and National Insurance.
Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Assist with year-end processes, including P60 and P11D preparation.
Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and information.
Preferred Qualification
Responsible for payroll processing and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions including timely F&F of exits.
Comprehensive end-to-end knowledge in UK legislation and statutory compliance.
Would be an added advantage of having payroll knowledge on any European country payroll.
Have experience in process payroll in ADP.
Strong analytical and logical thinking ability
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Flexible to work on different time zones as per business requirement.
