About Team:The iShares Fixed Income Product Strategy team is responsible for representing the full suite of bond ETF solutions to internal and external clients, which currently span across 8 product lines and more than $1 trillion of assets under management. The team, situated across 6 countries globally, is centrally involved in the firm’s thought leadership agenda, product development and commercialization strategy for iShares bond ETFs. As part of BlackRock’s Global Product Solutions, critical to the success of the team is the maintenance of strong relationships with all Fixed Income Portfolio Management teams, as well as the Institutional and Wealth Client Business teams who are responsible for managing and developing BlackRock’s client relationships.Job Purpose:The position holder will be a product strategist in the iShares Fixed Income Product Strategy team, focusing primarily on the commercialization, growth, and development of the Firm’s iShares fixed income business globally, with main accountability to EMEA and APAC team leads. They will support the strategic growth of the iShares Fixed Income business in two main ways:·Provide scale to Product Strategy’s global and local client engagement model ·Play a central role in iShares’ efforts in modernizing fixed income ecosystem and fixed income indices, by supporting the build out of an algo ecosystem of portfolios and index data analytics which will feed real time, systematic market insights into the iShares fixed income commercial narratives Key responsibilities:- Showcase subject matter expertise on iShares fixed income offering
- Handle client requests on iShares fixed income strategies such as flow colour, due diligences, fund characteristics, ad-hoc as well as regular reporting
- Contribute to the creation of both centralized and customized product strategy material with appropriate messaging and product positioning
- Generating market analysis / systematic insights on how iShares and our competitors fit into the market ecosystem Collaborate closely with Index Fixed Income portfolio managers, research, and portfolio architects in order to represent their investment capabilities effectively to sales and clients
Strategic projects:- Centralize extraction and storage of data from multiple sources and teams
- Centralize output by creating a catalogue of tools for Product Strategy such as user-friendly web-based modules for asset class specific fixed income analytics, sustainability metrics, performance attribution, index turnover, credit events etc.
- Become power users and continuously conduct training for new team members above tools and data modules
Skills/Qualifications:- Articulate, understands markets, has a strong attention to detail and is interested in fixed income markets.
- 3-6 years of industry experience in similar domain
- Self-starter who can work effectively on their own as well as with a team, while being resourceful and able to work with other groups to obtain the information necessary to complete tasks
- Able to multi-task efficiently in a busy and varied environment.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude supported by the ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as BlackCat, PowerBI
