The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for an Associate for Export team. He/she is responsible to register and follow up until finalization of all customer orders. Performs all tasks in accordance with internal customer and standards. Optimizes the lead time between customer’s orders and deliveries, informing customers and tracking status of open orders as well as open items from past orders. Represents the company in front of customers and counterparts, documenting and forwarding to the responsible person within the company any issue communicated to be resolved. He or she will coordinate with many other departments to ensure an efficient daily workflow.What we’re looking for Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience.Preferred Qualification:Highly motivated individual with outstanding customer focus.Good organizational and administrative skills.Computer literate, Word, Excel. Knowledge of SAP an advantage.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to work as part of a team, in a busy department.Export knowledge is an advantage.The ability to work to deadlines under pressure whist maintaining a flexible approach.How you will thrive and create an impact:To raise customer orders on SAP and progress through to completionHandle export ordersEnsure export licenses are in place.Link quotations to ordersInput correct shipping conditions taking into account relevant regulations.Ensure temperature-controlled products are treated in the correct way.Raise pro forma invoices.Ensure internal account managers are informed of any credit blocks or price discrepancies on ordersTo be responsible for the efficient releasing of all Export consignments across the various modes of dispatch by air and seaRespond to customer requests for product availability, expected delivery dates, status updates of orders.Regularly liaise with internal account managers making them aware of any customer issues.Coordinate with internal teams on queries.Disclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
