About the role

Application Support Engineer will be responsible for supervising tickets, working on Service Requests, and looking into Incident & Problem Management and providing resolutions.


The consultant will be part of the Frontend Technologies supporting US/Canada based web and mobile functionality in our IT facility in Chennai. The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in their domain and in-depth technical knowledge in.Net Framework, ASP.Net and SQL Server. The candidate should have confirmed expertise in supporting ASP.NET and SQL Server related applications.


  • Role and Responsibilities


  • ü As an associate engineer, should possess good understanding of the application architecture to enable better fix of issues.


  • ü You will be responsible for resolving any technical issues reported by the business users.


  • ü Deliver new or improved artifacts as required by Development lead and team lead.


  • ü Proactively anticipate issues, identify possible causes, work with the team to identify and propose solutions with an innovative demeanor.


  • ü Excellent customer service skills: including good communication, prioritization and sense of criticality - Providing a high level of service to our business users and adhering to our SLAs and follow ups till completion.


  • ü Coordinate with vendor application team and the key partners for any application issue.


  • ü Ticketing systems handling


  • ü Formally document as needed; QRG, SOPs, Knowledge articles and TDSs.


Essential Skills and experience

ü 3 to 4 Years of Experience required in ETL tools (IPC and/or Snaplogic)


ü Technical hands-on experience in MySQL, Oracle/SQL Server.


ü Scripting languages: Shell scripting and/or Python

ü Able to grasp and learn new technologies and concepts.


ü Capabilities for Problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis.


ü Experience on SNOW and/or Jira systems


ü Self-driven, self-taught, and proactive behavior are a must.
