Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded Systems Engineer specializing in Virtual Processor-in-Loop (VPIL) and Software-in-Loop (SIL) testing methodologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in embedded systems, proficiency in C programming, and familiarity with SystemC. Knowledge of Matlab is considered an added advantage.  In this role the candidate should support the developing, testing, and optimizing of hardware models utilizing virtual processor-in-loop testing techniques. He should also support the integration of models with VPIL emulators for testing the developed models. He will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of embedded systems into our products

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure virtual processor simulations to replicate target hardware platforms and execution environments.
• Develop SystemC models and behavioral descriptions of embedded processors and peripheral components for use in virtual platform simulations. Program embedded C code to interface with virtual processors and simulate real-time behavior of embedded software applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to ensure accurate representation of target hardware configurations and interfaces in virtual simulations.
• Execute VPIL tests to validate embedded software functionality, timing behavior, and interaction with simulated hardware components.
• Integrate hardware model to perform SIL testing in different development environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication,  Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Proficiency in SystemC and embedded C programming languages, with hands-on experience in developing embedded software applications.
• Experience with virtual platform development tools and simulation environments, such as MATLAB/Simulink or QEMU
• Experience with MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and data analysis is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques for virtual processor-in-loop testing, including the development of SystemC models and behavioral descriptions.
• Candidate should have understanding on HW interfaces/functionalities/ Communication Protocols, Sensors, Signal Processing etc.,
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot issues in a simulated environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skill Sets:

• Strong background in embedded systems development, including knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware/software interaction
• Understanding of VPIL and SIL testing methodologies and techniques, including experience in designing, implementing, and executing simulation-based tests.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++
• Knowledge of SystemC modeling language for hardware/software co-simulation and virtual platform development
• Experience with simulation tools and environments, including QEMU, MATLAB/Simulink, and other software-in-the-loop simulation platforms.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
