Job Purpose:


The Procurement Buying Goods & Services team has single accountability for the global Strategy, Design, Governance and Improvement roadmap of the end to end BG&S processes and operations. The process impacts 400+ Procurement employees, 15,000 shoppers and 38,000 suppliers across Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, Master Data, Requisition, Purchase Order, Invoice and Payment processes.


The Buying Goods & Services Transformation programme has pointed out that for a good employee experience, it is critical to define the adequate strategy and manage the buying channel content as per specificities of the region. Once buying content and employee shopping experience is fluid, it will increase the compliance for the requesters, suppliers, procurement & operations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive improved adoption of the Sourcing solutions that are available to Procurement and the wider organisations.
  • Responsible for improved sourcing content availability within the global sourcing solutions to ensure world class sourcing events
  • Work with Procurement to define the Global sourcing strategy and technical solution and monitor adoption.
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs and regular governance to ensure buying channels are optimized, to identify opportunities to increase procurement value and/or simplify the requisitioning experience for stakeholders.  
  • Soliciting the Voice of the Customer (utilising Communities of Practice where available) and operating a continuous improvement cycle for the buying channel management (i.e., monitor, improve, monitor, adjust) to enable the employee experience journey.
  • Driving change and adoption within the shopper and regional Procurement team. Ensuring training material, process documentation and other supporting material are developed and maintained as well as monitoring end user support, training and communication effectiveness.
  • Continually assessing external and internal benchmark and best practice trends and benchmarks
  • Support strategic initiatives for Procurement programs on the content of the BG&S process & systems, such as Mergers or Acquisitions.
  • Partner closely with the Buying Goods & Services GPOs and head of Buying Goods and Services.
  • Partner closely with global and regional category teams to facilitate strategies into sourcing strategy

Qualifications:


Education and Experience:


  • Graduate or Post Graduate with 16+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of Ariba Sourcing and the wider suite of Ariba products
  • Knowledge / experience of other niche and best in class sourcing solutions is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement processes and good corporate governance
  • Track record in identifying and delivering performance KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within a matrix team.
  • Broad knowledge across the end-to-end processes and ARIBA / ERP functionality.
